Years ago, industrial sites dominated the Milwaukee riverfront along North Commerce Street.
During this era, the primary industry in Milwaukee was brewing, and the aptly named “Beerline B” Rail Line was built to transport goods into and out of the area. This Rail Line accommodated three fourths of Milwaukee's brewers serving Schlitz, Pabst, and Blatz breweries.
As the industrial age faded throughout the twentieth century, so too did the “Beerline B” Rail Line, and the site became an abandoned industrial artifact within the city.
